Our Mission

The mission of Mobile Access to Dentistry and Education (MADE), is to provide community-based mobile dentistry services, dental health information, and resources, for underserved populations in the Washington, DC Metropolitan area, to prevent dental disease, oral cancer, and to divert dental emergencies from hospital emergency rooms.

Our Vision

The vision of Mobile Access to Dentistry and Education (MADE), is to implement long-lasting mobile dentistry support to underserved populations in the Washington, DC Metropolitan area, with dental services, that will make a positive impact in the oral health outcomes of the populations we serve.

How it all began

MADE began as a model created by dedicated dental  professionals, who have recognized the need for innovative services, to reach underserved populations, in correlation to the language dictated in the Action for Dental Health Act of 2017 (H.R. 2422), to alleviate the barriers to oral healthcare services among underserved populations.

As a solution to the problem of inaccessibility to dental care for underserved populations, MADE will serve the underserved children in schools, uninsured adults, the homeless, veterans, the disabled, and seniors in nursing homes, within the Washington, DC Metropolitan area.

Educational Partnership

MADE has also formed partnerships, in alliance with the oral health profession in the targeted areas including Howard University’s College of Dentistry.  Our goal is focused on building collaborative partnerships with the public school systems, the departments of health, and the nonprofit community, to improve the dental care for the underserved.
